Many people suffer from insomnia and are just not getting enough rest to heal and rejuvenate their bodies. This month I would like to give you a few steps to better sleep.
First, cut our any food consumption at least two hours before bed time. Second, keep your daytime napping to only 20-30 minutes; this short time is healthy, but longer naps could cause problems with your biological clock and cause restless sleep. Third, try to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. Fourth, try a body pillow to support your posture. When on your side, put the pillow between your legs to keep your hips in line. Lastly, turn of the technology and TV while in bed. The blue light from these devices can cause poor sleep quality. In addition, make sure you have a supportive mattress and pillow.
If you need help picking out the right sleep system and pillow, contact our clinic and we can provide you with the information you need to be a wise consumer. These six simple suggestions have helped hundreds of our patients get a quality night sleep and improved their health.
