Dr. Cook’s Breathing and Mindset Challenge

Step One: Breathing
Take seven deep breaths
Lay still and breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth. Your stomach should rise and fall as you do this, this is called diaphragmatic breathing.


Step Two: Visualization

Take another seven breaths.
As you do, close your eyes and imagine a bright white light filling your body starting at your head and spreading down through every part of your body with every exhale.


Step Three: Love and Thankfulness

Take one last set of seven breaths.
As you breathe, keep your eyes closed and send yourself some positive thoughts. Think about what aspects you like about yourself, how much you love your family and friends, feel gratitude for the day and for your life — anything that will make you happy and grateful to clear your mind!
